Policies

We are a different type of salon, PLEASE READ THE POLICIES BELOW THOROUGHLY before your appointment. Depending on the condition of your hair you may not get instant results. Our methods take time. It is like dieting or exercising. Going to the gym once or eating one salad won't put much of a dent in your goals. The same can be said for natural hair. Please come with an open mind and patience. If you follow our methods, give us the time we need the results can be unbelievably amazing.

Appointments

A credit card will be required to secure all appointments.

All appointments require a deposit that is non refundable, at least a month to two months before your appointment. A text and emailed invoice will be sent out to the contact info on file. If you can not pay the deposit that day please communicate that with us to find a date that works for everyone. Deposits must be paid no later than 4 days after contact. Failure to pay Deposit or to communicate about deposit results in your appointment being cancelled and given to someone on the waiting list. 

Curl sessions are by appointment only. Please click on the tab above for online booking. If the time/day you are looking for is not available, it doesn't exist.  We are either not working at that time or it has been booked already.  Calling, emailing, and texting will get you the same answer.

We cannot guarantee appointments for late arrivals.

The credit card on file is only charged if you no call/no show your appointment.

If you arrive to your appointment with wet hair you will be charged an additional $25.

 

You get what you book, a Great service. Nothing more, nothing less. Please read full description in service box to understand what that service will include. You can not add on services at the last minute (ie. any hair color service or haircut/trim). No exceptions. Service add-ons ( ex. deep conditioner ...) are at the stylists discretion. Failure to book the correct service will lead to a cancellation/rescheduling and you will be charged 50% of your service for time. We book appointments one at a time and with pinpoint accuracy.  It is not fair for me, you, or the client after you for the schedule to be thrown off.

 

We take our booking serious and only wish to provide a great service. We can not do that if you book an incorrect service. Have questions? please contact us and we will guide you. 

 

All new clients must book a new client service. Please do not book an existing client service because of the price or time difference to get in sooner. Failure to go by this policy will result in your appointment to be declined or cancelled.   
 

Payment Methods

We accept Cash, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover along with Apple Pay & CashApp. Sorry, unless you are family we do not accept checks.

Cancellation Policy

We've reserved your appointment time just for you. Unlike other stylists, We DO NOT double book.  Should you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment, We kindly ask for 72-hours notice so that we can schedule another guest in order to stay booked. If you need to cancel up to 72 hours before your appointment please look for the link in your confirmation email to cancel your appointment without penalty.

If your cancellation is within 72 hours of your appointment time please email cherbehindthechair@yahoo.com.  Be aware that any cancellation within 72 hours is subject to a fee equivalent to 50% of your scheduled service price that will be immediately charged to the credit card on file.

 Cher will not be responsible for cancellations that are called in, text in, sent to the wrong email, or not sent in accordance to this policy.

Clients who do not show up to their appointment without notification or those canceling within 4 hours of any appointment will be charged  100% of their appointment price immediately to the credit card on file.  Thank you for your understanding.

Appointment Confirmations + Reminders

To help you not forget your special time with us, we have several options to assist you. If your cell phone number is listed in Square the service will automatically send you an email + text reminder 72 hours in advance of your appointment.

When you schedule your appointment a confirmation email is generated by our system and sent to the email address on file.  Please check your spam box if you do not receive this confirmation.

 

 Add us to your list of contacts in order to receive all email appointment notifications.

Late Policy

Should you be running late, we will hold your appointment for 15 minutes provided we hear from you. If you are more than 15 minutes late without notice you will be charged and asked to reschedule. We book appointments one at a time and with pinpoint accuracy.  It is not fair for me, you, or the client after you for the schedule to be thrown off.

Service Guarantee

We take pride in all of the services we provide. If the service that was agreed upon in the consultation was not technically executed to your standards (including but not limited to frizzy, loose, uneven, etc.)  please inform us at the time of your appointment. If you are uncomfortable doing so face to face, please send an email to cherbehindthechair@yahoo.com within 24 hours. 

 

An appointment will be set within 7 days for a restyle.  Notifications after 24 hours are not eligible for complementary restyles.  No refunds will be given on any services.

Although we stand behind our guarantee 100%, it does not apply if after service has been rendered to your specifications you feel as though another style category would have suited you better.  

 

Please understand we cannot offer a complementary or discounted service in these circumstances.  We also do not just add on to styles and to previous pricing.  Each style is crafted in an integrated manner from beginning to end.  To experience a different service you are invited to schedule that service in its entirety.

Children

Children under 16 are not permitted in the studio space unless with an adult.
